Files & datasheets
Upload files to qr3 and link them to a code — perfect for product datasheets, manuals or certificates.
Attach files to a code
- Open the code’s detail page in the dashboard.
- In the Files section, upload one or more files (PDF, images, …).
- Choose the visibility when uploading:
- Public (pre-selected in the dashboard) — served at a stable link and shown on the code’s landing page.
- Private — uncheck Public to store the file without serving it publicly.
One code, several datasheets
A code can hold multiple files. To let a single scan reach all of them, enable landing page mode: the scan opens a qr3-hosted page listing every public file of that code.
Link straight to a single file
When a scan should open one specific document — instead of the landing page with its file list — use the file’s public link as the QR code’s target URL.
- Open the code’s detail page.
- In the Files section, click Copy public link on the file you want.
- Paste the address as a QR code’s target URL.
The link needs no sign-in and opens the file directly in the browser — so a PDF shows in the preview instead of downloading. The button only appears for files whose visibility is Public; private files get no public address.
Replacing the file leaves this link unchanged (see below). If more documents may follow later, the landing page is the better target — it always lists the current files.
Update a datasheet without reprinting
Use Replace on a file to swap its contents while keeping the same download address. The printed QR code keeps working: the link stays identical, only the file behind it changes. Upload the new version, and scans serve the updated datasheet.
Take a file down
Use Delete to withdraw a file: it disappears from the file list and from the landing page, and its public link stops serving it.
